The Acer SR1 single length driver provides golfers with the best of both worlds by generating near-driver distance with the control of a 5 wood off of the tee. This custom Acer SR1 single length driver head is the same weight is a 5 wood head, and the standard length is 42" which is the same length as a 5 wood as well. The result is a club which feels and swings just like a 5 wood, which most golfers hit considerably straighter than their driver, but the larger head size gives you the forgiveness of a driver and nearly the same distance!

Some golfers may see a slight loss of 10-15 yards on their best drives, but most will see an increase in average distance and a higher percentage of fairways hit because they are hitting the center of the face more often! The Acer SR1 single length driver is designed with one thing in mind - finding fairways, and it does that at a rate of 2-3x more often than a regular driver for most golfers.

Year after year the Acer single length drivers have been one of our best selling and highest rated clubs, give this newest version a try and you'll find out why!

*NOTICE* It is recommend that you go up 1-2° in loft from what you normally play in a traditional length driver. This is due to the lower launch and reduced spin that you get from the shorter shaft length.

Monster driver

Just received my SR1 fitted with idrive senior flex graphite shaft. It's an absolute beast. Looks good and sounds great of the tee.
My first full round with it and I hit 13/14 fairways. No loss of distance in comparison to my M4.
Flight trajectory is much better for me. For reference I'm 71 and a 26 handicap.

This driver is an absolute beast, and impossible to miss with!

I love the look, feel, sound, and results that I get with this club. In my first round playing with it, I hit nothing but dead straight drives right at wherever I was aiming, and they consistenly rolled out to about 240-250 yards. That's a little shorter than my regular driver, which I can hit up to about 270 on a great shot, but my mishits with my regular driver can go as little as 220-230 and waaaay left or right! With this driver everything goes almost the same distance with no bad mishits, and dead freaking straight every time! It almost feels like I'm cheating, LOL. This club is worth every penny!

Finally finding the fairway. Very minimal change in distance.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Do we tee up differently to a normal driver? Same question for ball position too

Our single length drivers are made to the specs of a 5-wood, so you would put it in more of a position where you would typically hit your 5 wood. And also tee it just a little lower than a regular driver since you won't be hitting it with quite as much of an upward angle of attack as a longer driver.

  • Can you please clarify the difference between the Acer SR1 and the Acer XV Thriver? The descriptions sound VERY similar. Who should purchase one vs. the other? Thank you.

The descriptions of those two drivers are very similar because they are virtually the same. The Acer SR1 is the newer version with updated cosmetics to make it look more similar to other drivers that are currently on the market. But the overall shape of the head, the design of the face, and just above everything else is the same - inclucing the performance. The SR1 just has an updated sole with more modern graphics.

  • What is the weight difference between the itour standard shaft and the itour lite in the lite flex?

There is about a 10g difference in weight between those two shafts, with the iDrive Tour weighing around 65g at playing length and the Tour Lite around 55g.
